Affirmed in part, reversed in part, and remanded with directions. This is an appeal from a personal injury action brought against the defendants for injuries the plaintiff sustained during a 4th of July fireworks display at the defendants' home. The plaintiff contends that the district court should have applied the doctrines of strict liability and negligence per se, that the court improperly excluded expert and lay opinion testimony, and that the trial court erred in excluding certain rules and regulations relating to the type of fireworks display that caused the plaintiff's injuries. The jury returned a verdict finding the plaintiff 92% at fault. This court has jurisdiction by transfer on its own motion pursuant to K.S.A. 20-3018(c).
